PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES AND HOW TO APPLY

 

ATDF programming offers an elite performance opportunity for children, teens and adults during our annual Tap City Festival. You and your dancers will have the opportunity to perform in the Tap Future Concert at the end of the festival. This performance opportunity bring with it recognition in the field and is an asset to your school and individual dancer's resumes. In order to be eligible for this performance opportunity, students must be registered Festival participants in the Tap City Youth, Pre-Professional Programs, or Adult Residencies only.

 

COPASETIC BOAT RIDE

While you soak in the city's skyline, enjoy meeting the Tap City staff, faculty and your fellow students! There’s something aboard for everyone ...live music, entertainment and dancing, dancing, dancing, so come join us and catch the rhythm.  Live tap performances by festival students & teachers and local tap professionals. Cash bar offers drinks and snacks.

TAP FUTURE
(ALL STUDENT SHOWCASE)

The Peter Jay Sharp Theatre, Symphony Space

Tap City puts ALL of our students on stage in a fun show of youth, teen and adult students. Tap dancers will perform for each other—on Broadway!--in an informal performance featuring the newly minted work from all of the Tap City Residencies from the Youth, Pre-Professional and Adult Programs. It’s a chance to see and be seen, with all performers sitting in the audience to watch the works of fellow students, amateurs and professionals from around the world. A few dancers, duets, trios, etc. will also be selected from video submissions. Hosted by our entire Education Program Faculty and ATDF Artistic Director Tony Waag.
